In the computer world we run into bizarre problems daily. Most things can be Google'd and solved in minutes. When Google doesn't know or buries the answer deep, I make an article on my site with the answer. Sometimes I only know the effect of an action and not the cause so I just write what I know. Take for example my Freebsd Post Install article. I'm no master at FreeBSD, but I can assemble some steps together and explain them the best I can and it helps me a ton.

* * * Do yourself a favor and read Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Follow up with my favorite, The Story of B, and finish off the series with My Ishmael. Or you may cut to the chase and read his small and concise book Beyond Civilization instead (or preferably some time after finishing the first three). The (currently) 711 reviews on Amazon of Ishmael with a 4/5 star rating can't be wrong. And I guarantee that the reviews that drop it from being 5/5 are people who are enraged that someone is challenging their perception of our culture. Sound interesting? Once you've read some of Daniel Quinn's literature I encourage you to check out his website http://www.ishmael.com. You may not want to check it out first because it isn't dazzling or attention grabbing and the conversation is likely not to be interesting until there is some background. But definitely check it out if you agree with the views in his books!
